Fans from the Elder Scrolls franchise can now sign up for The Elder Scrolls Online Beta. Bethesda announced this news, along with the release of a new trailer.
To participate in the Beta, gamers need to fill in a survey questioning them about their prior MMO engagements. Questions include which MMO games you’ve played in the past and which you’ve helped during Beta periods. Fill in as much as you honestly can, as this will increase your chances of being picked. You can find the Beta signup request here.

In an impressive display of computer generated imagery (CGI), the MMO trailer depicts the tribulations between the Aldmeri Dominion, Daggerfall Covenant and Ebonheart Pact. It starts in a cave, where several warriors of differing skills encounter hairy, wolf-like creatures and battle them to the death. Then, the action goes upward to the walls of the city. An assault is in progress and we get to see some pretty damned impressive skills from a masked character. An elf warrior can briefly be seen dominating the battlefield as well, before the clip ends with an intense standoff.
It’s an amazing clip, we’ll give it that, but since the style of The Elder Scrolls Online will not go in the same direction, we do believe some might think it’s misleading. Just for those people: That’s not what the game will look like. You have been warned. Now enjoy the clip.
